The Shadow Assassin depends greatly on her ability to be unseen, or completely outmaneuver her opponents. If she can't avoid a straight up fight, she'll try to escape. If that isn't possible, she'll surrender, and try to make her escape later.
When infiltrating a place, she can use Feather Fall to get of tall walls, Spider Climb to climb those she can't with normal ability, and shadow jump to get quickly passed locked doors, or even straight through walls.
When the target has been reached, she will usually either hide in the darkness, or behind greater invisibility to study her target for a death attack with her Assassin's Dagger. With her speed, jump and tumble skills and shadow jump skill, she can travel quite a distance in the time between finishing her observation and the death attack.
Alternatively, she can also target subjects in a more social setting, and an alternative spell selection has been provided for this.
The Greater Shadow in the MM can be used as her companion, except that it can't create spawn.
