Blinding Gaze (Su): So long as the crystalline ogre is illuminated by bright light, it has a gaze atk that causes permanent blindness unless a Fort DC 10 save is successful. This attack all creatures that look at the crystalline ogre within range of its light amplification or within 100-ft in conditions of bright light. Blinded creatures and creatures of the earth subtype are immune to the crystalline ogre's blinding gaze. If a crystalline ogre is subject to searing light or light spells, the save DC for this attack increases by +2 for 1d4 rounds. Increases for multiple such effects stack.
Dazzling Form (Ex): When illuminated, a crystalline ogre's transparent body and organs refract and reflect light in a dazzling display. Any creature that looks at a crystalline ogre in sufficient light (while in the radius of a light source, the light amplification ability, or within 100-ft under bright light) is dazzled until it leaves the area or closes its eyes. Simply averting the eyes offers no protection. Blind creatures and creatures with the earth subtype are immune to this effect.
Disease (Su): Any creature damaged by a crystalline ogre's slam attack must make a DC 15 Fort save or contract brilliant pestilence (Contact DC 15; 1 day; 3d4 Dex) as parts of its body transform into a crystalline creature. If not cured of the disease within 1 day of reaching 0 Dex, the infected creature acquires the crystal creature template, and all Dex dmg taken is immediately healed. Only a wish or miracle spell can restore the creature to its former self, although polymorphing magic affects the creature normally. Any creature with the earth subtype is immune to brilliant pestilence.
Light Amplification (Ex): The body of a crystalline ogre amplifies the light that strikes it. When struck by light from any source, the crystalline ogre projects a similar amount of light, as though it were a light source of the same size. In conditions of very bright light (sunlight or a daylight spell), this light amplification increases the saving throw DC for the crystalline ogre's blinding gaze attack by +2 (this stacks with those from light effects).
